Greetings Card 1 by Lozzyboo Greetings Card 1 by Lozzyboo
We got a horrific project for university. Make 3 greetings cards based on some really badly chosen onomatapeic words. Only some of them weren't onomatopeic because our tutors are great, also they didnt really explain it properly to us, except to say that it had to be different from the usual crap you see in shops these days, we weren't allowed to put any cartoons upont, unless they were similar to some really wanky old school artists who are so outdated they belong in a natural history museum, and we had about 10 days to get it done. Oh yeah, and we had to make up our own auspicious days for the bleeding things.

Obviously that went out the window, as you will see.

Also another choice nugget of tuition gold: They told us when we sarted the course that greetings cards were the lowest form of illustration and were basically nothing to be proud of as a professional.

So whatever we made for this project, we are all going to get shot down on Monday.

Thanks guys!

Anyway, here I am, sticking it to the Man!

This card is based on the word POP and is aimed at a "Sorry you're leaving" type audience.

BLURGH!!!!!

Greeting cards the lowest form of illustration and nothing to be proud of? I made a sound of disgust just reading that line. That's insulting a lot of people and your tutors should be ashamed of themselves just saying sort of thing! Furthermore, they sound like the type of teachers that plan to make every effort to cause their students to fail at every turn -_-.
That said, I like your card, it's creative =). Got to love the look on that pea's face :XD:

That's one happy pea. Perhaps he is leaving your school? Either way. The fun in this is that it is both weird and very effective, understandable in a way. You must have had a high grade for this.

no, unfortunately my tutors hated it. They said it was generic and incomprehensible. :(

It's your teachers who I find incomprehensible.
